KCETB announces details of youth work grants

(Wed. 15 March, 2023) – KCETB has announced details of two separate grants for voluntary youth work clubs and groups operating in Kilkenny and Carlow.

The Integration Grant 2023 aims to support youth organisations and youth clubs engage with young people in the community who have fled war in Ukraine.

The Local Youth Club Grant Scheme 2023 provides grant aid towards the costs of running voluntary-led youth clubs and groups.

A maximum of €4,000 is available per youth club under the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme and €1,000 is available per youth club under the Integration Grant.

“Youth clubs play a vital role in our communities, providing support and guidance to young people, and empowering them to reach their full potential by providing opportunities for personal development, better social outcomes and a greater understanding of the world around them. We encourage youth clubs and groups to apply for this funding to further support those services that provide real benefits to young people’s lives”, said Saoirse Prendergast, KCETB Youth Officer.

The grant initiative is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. The Local youth Club Grant Scheme is also part-funded by the proceeds of the National Lottery. Clubs that are primarily sports-based are not eligible to apply for funding under this scheme.
