Youth Office Grants and Support Initiatives

KCETB’s Youth Office is responsible for the administration, governance and oversight of over €1.1 million in funding from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) to local youth services and local voluntary youth clubs through a variety of grants and support initiatives each year.

The DCEDIY grants directly benefit young people in Kilkenny and Carlow through their participation and engagement in a variety of youth work supports, programmes and initiatives. These are run by Carlow Regional Youth Service, Ossory Youth Services, Foróige DRUM Youth Project and Health Café, Kilkenny as well as a host of voluntary youth work clubs and groups.

KCETB also works with the DCEDIY, as a strategic partner, to support the delivery of the Youth Information Centre in Kilkenny and the UBU Your Place Your Space youth funding scheme in Kilkenny and Carlow which provides almost €1 million for local youth services.
