Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB) is a leading provider of education and training in the south east, enabling 18,000 annual learners to reach their potential by offering education pathways in schools, colleges, training centres and community settings. Our remit includes the management and operation of 13 post-primary schools, two colleges of further education and training, an extensive range of adult and community education services in 30 locations across Kilkenny and Carlow, the co-ordination of youth services, and the promotion of music education through Music Generation. Our organisation employs 1,377 people and operates an annual budget of over €80 million. Our tagline is Flourish through learning and our core belief is that learning has the power to change lives and build communities.

Our Schools

KCETB operates and manages 13 post-primary schools across Carlow and Kilkenny, each of which are underpinned by the core values of excellence in education, care, equality, community and respect.

Further Education and Training

The needs of learners are met through KCETB's Further Education and Training Services (FET) that manages and operates 17 QQI-registered centres across 13 FET hubs and 30 community-based outreach locations.

Youth Services

KCETB co-ordinates and administers the delivery of youth services to young people across Kilkenny and Carlow under a variety of youth-funded programmes.

Music Generation

Music Generation transforms the lives of children and young people through access to an excellent performance music education.
