A revised appeal procedure for appointment to Assistant Principal I, Assistant Principal II and Programme Co-ordinator Posts in ETBs was introduced under Circular 0003 2018 / Ciorclán 0003 2018 following an extensive review process by management bodies and unions at national level.
The Appeal Board Secretariat for the ETB sector is operated by ETBI. The Appeal Board Secretariat has drafted a guidance note for teachers seeking to complete the new PDF teacher appeal form.
Those teachers who may be considering an appeal, should read the circular and the guidance note carefully. Appeals will only be accepted on the new PDF teacher Appeals Form/Foirm Achomhairc.
Documentation (if any) supplied by either the appellant teacher should ideally be scanned and supplied as attachments in the email which generates once the teacher appeal form is completed. This email is submitted automatically to a nominated person in the ETB. In the event that a scanning facility is not available, please supply supporting hard copy information (if any) to the ETB clearly marked ‘POR appeals’.
You must supply any supporting documentation by the Appeal Date advised.
