(27 November, 2023) – A Music Generation Kilkenny student was the star of last Friday’s Late Late Toy Show with a solo musical performance that many say stole the show.
Enya Cox (13yrs) from Castlecomer brought the house down with a rocking performance of the Olivia Rodrigo hit ‘Vampire’ as the finale to Friday’s Late Late Toy Show that drew over one million viewers. Her performance was described by Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty as “something really special”.

Prior to Friday’s show, Enya has been a student with Music Generation Kilkenny, performing at last year’s SINGOUT concert in St. Canice’s Cathedral where she sang ‘Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas’. Enya will take to the stage at St. Canice’s Cathedral again on the 15th of December for this years’ SINGOUT concert.
Commenting on her performance on the Toy Show, Music Generation Kilkenny Development Officer Sinead Blanchfield said, “Enya is a gifted singer. She possesses a vocal talent, emotional depth, and stage presence that belie her years. She is undoubtedly a young rising star and we couldn’t be more proud of her at Music Generation Kilkenny.”
Enya’s mother Roisin Cox said she was “bursting with pride” following her daughter’s performance.
Congratulations and best wishes Enya from everyone at KCETB and Music Generation Kilkenny – we are very proud!
