This week Minister of State at the Department of Health, Jennifer Murnane O\u2019Connor visited KCETB Head Office to engage in a structured discussion on the organisation\u2019s strategic priorities for the coming years.<\/p>\n

The Minister met with Chief Executive Dr. Lindsay Malone and Chair of the Board, Cllr Andrea Dalton to review progress on KCETB\u2019s strategic plan, including innovation in further education, apprenticeship growth, school development, and skills\u2011for\u2011employment initiatives.<\/p>\n

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss upcoming capital and infrastructure needs, ensuring KCETB\u2019s facilities and programmes are positioned to meet future learner and industry demand.<\/p>\n

As KCETB continues to expand its provision of further education, training, and schools services across Kilkenny and Carlow, it is essential that national policy objectives and local delivery plans remain closely aligned. The meeting also strengthens collaboration between KCETB and the Department, supporting high\u2011quality provision, governance, and long\u2011term organisational sustainability.<\/p>\n

During the visit, KCETB was in a position to highlight the impact of KCETB\u2019s work on learners, employers, and communities across the Kilkenny and Carlow region.<\/p>\n

This engagement ensures that KCETB\u2019s priorities are clearly understood at national level and that the organisation is well\u2011supported in delivering responsive, future\u2011focused education and training.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive Dr. Lindsay Malone said \u201cEngaging with Minister Murnane O\u2019Connor is essential as we advance the strategic priorities of KCETB. These discussions ensure that our goals for learners, communities, and the regional economy are aligned with national policy, and they strengthen the partnerships needed to deliver high\u2011quality, future\u2011focused education and training across Kilkenny and Carlow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As KCETB continues to expand its provision of further education, training, and schools services across Kilkenny and Carlow, it is essential that national policy objectives and local delivery plans remain closely aligned.<\/p>\n
