KCETB welcomes Minister of State Marian Harkin to Carlow<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB) welcomed Minster of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science with special responsibility for Further Education, Apprenticeship, Construction and Climate Skills (DFHERIS) Marian Harkin to Carlow on Monday, June 9th.<\/p>\n

As part of her nationwide series of visits to Education and Training Boards, Minister Harkin was met by Dr. Pauline Egan, Chief Executive (acting) and Martha Bolger, Director of Further Education and Training (FET).<\/p>\n

Speaking during the visit, Minster Harkin noted\u00a0\u201cEvery time I visit an ETB, I am inspired and impressed by the incredible work being carried out and this was evident here in Kilkenny and Carlow ETB.<\/em> This is a team that exemplifies dedication, innovation and creativity. They are delivering a wide-ranging suite of programmes and courses that meet the needs of learners from all walks of life, from established qualifications to new, bespoke offerings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Welcoming Minister Harkin to Carlow, Chief Executive (acting) Dr. Pauline Egan said\u00a0\u201cWe are delighted to spotlight all that is good about Kilkenny and Carlow.<\/em> We are proud of what we have achieved to date and are really ambitious for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Presenting an overview of Further Education and Training provision across the two counties, Director of FET, Martha Bolger said\u00a0\u201cWe want to lead the development of high-quality education and training opportunities across Kilkenny and Carlow\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

In attendance during the visit were members of KCETB Further Education and Training Senior management team Melinda Niland, Bernadette O\u2019Rourke, David Forde, Sarah Barron and Una Hayes who joined in on what was a very worthy and knowledge sharing discussion.<\/p>\n
